Symptoms occur usually 1 & 3 weeks after exposure
  • Flu-like symptoms (runny or blocked nose, sore throat, cough, fever)

  • Fatigue

  • Fevers, chills, and night sweats

  • Rapid weight loss and decreased appetite

  • Swollen lymph glands in the neck, underarm, or groin area

  • Continuous coughing or a dry cough

  • Diarrhoea

Transmitted through:

  • Blood

  • Semen

  • Vaginal fluids

  • Anal mucus

  • Breastmilk

  • Sharing any needles, syringes, or other injecting equipment.
